Content managers can access group overview
The group overview page is now accessible to Content Managers. The group overview also includes the number of members and the creation date of the group. And, last but not least, you can sort the columns (for example, sort according to ‘latest created group’).

Content/Site managers can access comment overview
The comment overview page is now accessible to Content and Site Managers. The comment overview also includes comment text (no more extra clicking to see the content 👌). The default columns 'subject' and 'posted on' have been removed.

Add multiple members to a group
Do you want to add multiple users to a group? We’ve just made it easier! Group managers can add multiple users to a group by selecting them (pretty similar to when you send a private message).

Add multiple users at once to your group. Efficiency, y’all!

User export has a lot more fields!
We extended the user export module with a lot more fields; user address, skills, and many more. User data is a goldmine for understanding who your users are, trends in groups/events/topics, and enhancing the community experience. That’s why we love improving it.

Unpublish comments with ease
We made it easier for Content and Site Managers to unpublish comments. Now, you can just go to the edit comment screen and click unpublish. You’ll also notice a clear distinction between unpublished and published comments. Pretty handy stuff.

Content and Site Managers can now easily see which comments are unpublished.

Email notifications are more clear
We receive tons of email notifications in our inbox every day. We want to make sure that the Open Social email notifications are clear and useful. Now, we’ve included both the action that was performed (e.g. user liked your topic) AND the titles of the content items and groups it’s about.

Improved user registration and login experience
We improved the user registration and login experience by providing links between the two screens (see the image below as an example). Site managers also add custom help texts to these pages by changing them in the account settings. A default help text has been included for regular signups and social signups.

Visitors now see “Have an account already” on the sign-up page.

Captcha for spam protection
With a captcha, you can prevent bots from creating spam accounts for your community. It uses advanced risk analysis techniques to recognize humans and bots.  A normal user simply has to fill in their details and check the “I’m not a robot” box.

Added an ‘All day’ option for events
Currently, the time field is required for events. But there are also events that have no specific starting or end time (all day barbeque, anyone?!). For these events, we added an “all day” option where you only have to fill in the date(s).

You can now choose ‘all day’ as a time for your event.

Anonymous visitors can enroll in events
We want to help increase engagement with anonymous visitors. Visitors (non-logged in users) can now enroll in events as well. Everyone is welcome! A pop-up is displayed that allows the visitor to sign up, log in or sign up to the event as a guest. The number of anonymous enrollees will be counted with the other enrollees, and event managers can even view them in a separate tab. Learn more.

The visitors see this popup when they want to enroll in an event.

Bug Fixes

Find yourself in autocomplete fields: Self-inception! It’s now possible to find yourself when searching for users in an autocomplete field (when you try to mention people in posts/comments or when you search for recipients for private messages).

Improved alignment of filter buttons: On mobile, we improved the alignment of the filter buttons on the event page and ensured that there was enough space above the filter. Design improvements coming along!

New comments label: When visiting content with newly added comments, you now see the label “new” next to all the new comments and replies.

GDPR block uses brand secondary colors: Color themes on the platform should stay consistent. The GDPR Inform and Consent Block will now always have a brand secondary color for consistency.

Consistent section titles: The section titles for search views are now displayed consistently.
Content activity displayed in the correct stream: When content is moved outside of a group, the activity item is now created and displayed in the correct stream. The same applies when content is moved to a group from the community.

Post image lightbox opens correctly: In rare cases, the lightbox didn’t open for the post images, so we ensured that it is now always open.

URL fields are improved: As an Site Manager, when you edit the URL alias field, the input section is now bigger and the URL part is shorter. Also, you now have more space to enter the URL alias.

Blocked users don’t appear in search: We ensured that blocked users do not show up in search results.

User profiles are now always editable: Certain actions, such as removing the Names and Profile image, would sometimes cause a user’s profile to be uneditable. But we support the freedom to edit! This has now been fixed.

And many more...
